8th Grade Common Core Math
8th Grade Common Core Math is the appropriate placement for the majority of incoming 8th grade students, including those who have successfully completed 7th Grade Common Core Math.

Accelerated Common Core Math 8/Algebra I
This course touches on topics from the 8th grade math curriculum and covers the Common Core Algebra I standards which include topics that were previously classified as Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, and even Calculus. Examples of this shift are sequences, exponential functions, nonlinear inequalities, and some statistics. Students who choose this high-level course should be motivated and resourceful and demonstrate a strong personal interest in mathematics. This course is appropriate only for students who have successfully mastered the standards covered in 7th grade and 8th grade common core math.
