6th Grade Common Core Math is the appropriate placement for the majority of students entering OIS as 6th graders.

Accelerated Common Core Math 6/7 covers all of 6th grade math and half of 7th grade math. Students who choose this accelerated course should be motivated and resourceful, have strong number sense, and demonstrate an intrinsic personal interest in mathematics. The accelerated course uses a text-heavy curriculum, so students should also have strong reading comprehension.
