Co-ed Golf

An 7-week program for experienced players to improve their golf game and compete in match play against other schools. Our league is competitive and due to limited resources, each member must already possess a certain level of skill in the game, play on a regular basis, know the golf rules, proper “Pace of Play”, have their own golf clubs, shoes and proper golf attire.

We will practice on Mondays, Tuesdays and compete in official league matches on Wed, and the enrollment cost is $575/player. The bulk of costs of these team consist of: greens fees, range balls, instructions and team uniforms.  For those who do not qualify for the team, your full enrollment fee will be reimbursed. A mandatory team meeting will be held on Monday, February 24th at 4pm in the OIS Library. Each student registered for golf and a parent are required to attend this meeting if you’re interested in trying out for the team.

A golf team of this size can only exist if all parents play a role in supporting the team. We need a lot of support at practices, carpooling and managing the logistics for the teams.

Foil fencing is back! This popular offering introduces first-timers to the rudiments of the sport and the appropriate use of the equipment which will enable our coed athletes to enjoy this medieval sport in a fun and safe manner. After learning the basics, participants will have an opportunity to test their skills in a controlled bout against fellow classmates. Class size is limited to the first 20 sign ups, and all equipment and gear are provided.
