6th Grade Math
Common Core Math 6
Common Core (CC) Math 6 is a grade-level math course designed to provide students with a strong mathematical foundation to meet 6th Grade California State Math Standards. Areas of focus include: connecting ratio and rate to whole number multiplication and division and using concepts of ratio and rate to solve problems; division of fractions and extending the notion of number to the system of rational numbers, which includes negative numbers; writing, interpreting, and using expressions and equations; and developing understanding of statistical thinking. Procedures, applications, problem solving and error-analysis will all be part of this course.

Common Core 6/7 Math Accelerated
CC6/7 Accelerated Math is a year-long 6th grade mathematics class that covers all of the 6th grade, and half of the 7th grade, California State Math Standards.
Students will focus on operations with positive and negative rational numbers, ratios and proportional relationships, expressions and equations, geometry, statistics, and probability. Procedures, applications, problem solving and error-analysis will all be part of this course. Enrollment in the accelerated course is based on the prior year recommendation and established criteria.
