At Orinda Intermediate School, our primary objective is aligned to the mission statement of the Orinda Union School District:  A Learning Community that Inspires, Engages, and Supports ALL students. We hope to achieve such a community through intentional work in all curricular and extracurricular areas and through programs and initiatives that support the work. In addition to developing lifelong learners, we seek to cultivate ethical and respectful citizens of the world. One of the programs at OIS that supports such growth is our Citizenship Awards program.

 

Each month, every staff member at OIS is invited to identify a student who has exemplified the monthly character trait adopted by the District. As part of this recognition, the honorees receive a certificate at a brief ceremony and their names are posted here on our website.
